About Us

Hertfordshire duo Tranquility Beach are carving out a new sound in the alt-blues landscape, blending soulful vocals, overdriven guitar, and primal percussion. Think Wolf Alice meets Sharon Van Etten in a dusty desert showdown, with a dash of John Butler Trio.

2024 has been a whirlwind for the duo. They've graced the stages of iconic venues like The Bear Club, performed at Maverick Festival and Strawberry Fair, and won the coveted Apply to Play slot at the legendary Cambridge Folk Festival.

Molly and Ben began their songwriting journey in 2021 and have been honing their sound ever since. They are currently crafting their debut EP in their home studio. Slated for release in late 2025, the EP promises a new era for the band, introducing a more mainstream approach with house-trap-inspired beats and rich harmonic textures.

Tranquility Beach's live shows are a masterclass in controlled chaos. Molly's powerhouse vocals soar over Ben's overdriven lap steel and driving percussion, creating a sound that's both intimate and immense. "We build our tracks from percussion loops and in-your-face guitars," Ben explains, "creating a foundation for Molly's incredible voice." Their captivating stage presence draws audiences in with Ben's mesmerizing lap steel and the full force of Molly's vocals. They've already conquered local Hertfordshire and London venues and commanded crowds at UK festivals.
